2012 Milwaukee Ultimate Club Winter Leagues Presented by the Bowery Bar and Grill

The Milwaukee Ultimate Club will be organizing 2 leagues this winter season.

Recreational Mixed

Monday nights at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex (1/23 - 3/26)

The intent of this league is to create a relaxed and fun environment and to help incorporate new/inexperienced players into the game. Teams will be made up of both experienced and inexperienced players.

Competitive Mixed

Monday nights at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex (1/23 - 3/26)

The intent of this league is to create a fun environment while also giving players a consistent high level of competition. Players in this league should have Ultimate playing experience, the ability to consistently throw successful passes and understand basic game strategies.

Winter League Rules

Games are 50 minutes long (two 25 minute halves), with a short (3 minutes max) halftime. Early games will end by 8:30 each week. If you start late, you don't get to run over into the late games time. Timers will be provided to keep track of game times on each field, along with scoreboards.

Gender Ratio: The goal is to play 3 men, 2 women in each game. If there are extenuating circumstances, (such as ladies playing savage, or being short people) then these things can be dealt with by the team captains.

Pulls: After a score, the next pull should be made within a 30 seconds. Also, intentional skip pulls (where you skip the disc on your half of the field and let it fly out the back of the endzone after that) are not allowed, and can be taken at midfield by the receiving team. The reason for this is that pulls out the back can cause a huge delay in actual play time while the disc is retreived.

Bricks: Pulls out the back of the endzone on the fly can be taken at the brick mark, which for this league, will be 5 yards out of the endzone.

Stall Count: You start your stall count on 3, and go up to 10. You cannot start at 1 and go to 7. Stalls must end at 10.

Time-Runs-Out situations:
First Half: The point ends when the disc is caught/dropped and time is at 0 (so throw your last second hail mary).
Second Half: Play out the point. If the game ends up tied, play one more Universe point.

Time Outs: Both teams get 2 timeouts per game. We will not limit them by half. There is no floater. Timeouts should last 60 seconds.
